The Lincoln Children's Zoo and Botanical Gardens has exhibits designed for up-close viewing by children, featuring over 300 animals. Other areas at the zoo include a butterfly pavilion, train and pony rides, and an extensive botanical garden containing dozens of plant species. Residing near downtown Lincoln in Antelope Park, other park areas include beautiful Sunken Gardens, a swimming pool, playgrounds, sporting fields and picnic areas.
