Complete with three high-powered telescopes and abundant educational resources, Hyde Memorial Observatory offers a fun, free way to explore the heavens. On Saturday nights, informative programs on various subjects within astronomy and space exploration are given by volunteers, and visitors have the chance to look up into the skies for constellations, planets and other galactic phenomena. Isolated from the city lights by its location, the observatory is on the far eastern end of the city within Holmes Park, which features the Holmes Park Golf Course and Holmes Lake.
